Douglas J. Allison, 55, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree child rape and eight counts of child molestation, crimes the Clallam County Sheriff's Office alleges he committed against two female students, ages 10 and 11, during classes at Mountain View Christian School.
A May 9 trial is scheduled. If convicted, Allison faces possible life in prison.
A pretrial status hearing in Clallam County Superior Court that had been scheduled for last Friday was postponed until 1:30 p.m. this Friday.
Allison remains in the Clallam County jail on $100,000 bail.
“The Washington Conference of Seventh-day Adventists initially placed Mr. Allison on administrative leave and barred him from campus; he was subsequently released from employment,” a news release from the church said last week.
Judy Allison — the other teacher at the small private school at 225 Medsker Road north of Sequim, which operates under the direction of Seventh-day Adventist Church — has taken a leave of absence for the rest of the school year, the release said.
New teacher hired
The School Board has hired Angie Campanello to teach for the remainder of the school year.
“Staffing plans are also in place to accommodate a wide range of grades,” the release said.
Campanello “has experience teaching all subjects from grades 1-8, has a master's in literacy instruction, and had been currently teaching university-level literacy classes for students planning to become teachers,” it said.
The school hosted a parent-only workshop with two representatives of Healthy Families of Clallam County and individual counseling sessions were offered for families interested in additional assistance, the release said.
“While the full roster of students isn't back in the classroom, we respect the right of our school families to determine the proper timing if/when their children are to come back to the MVCS campus,” it said.
“The School and Conference are fully cooperating with law enforcement's investigation of the alleged conduct,” it said."

So first Doug Allison admits to the charges, says his life is over, as is in the many news sources at the time of arrest then he pleads not guilty? Hmmm
26 minutes into the news clip below you see that Douglas Allison plead guilty twice it seems, yet now just before trial he claims NOT GUILTY. Why? That is because it is so often too easy for child molesters to get a jury to believe them over a child. The link below also says he did not deny what the girls said he did to them, now it's a not guilty he is going for?

"Charging documents say Allison admitted to touching the girls during a phone conversation with one victim's mother. Investigators listened with the mother's permission and used the information to obtain a search warrant for the suspect's cell phone."

Doug Allison admits what he did, says his life is over, then pleads NOT GUILTY, hmmm.
Why are People Trusting their Children to these Places. PAY Attention to what is REALLY happening to YOUR CHILDREN. Listen when people tell you that the Teacher, Pastor, or Family friend is "too close" to your children. LISTEN when you are told that your child is being touched inappropriately, believe your child, Look into it. Send a recording device with your child. Find a way to take care of your children, and Trust NO ONE.
Teach your child that NO ONE should be touching their private parts. NO ONE. Teach them it is ok to say NO to adults. LISTEN to them.

At the one minute mark below you hear Greg Reseck, a teacher from Cedar Brook Adventist Church in Port Townsend say that even if Doug Allison is convicted he will still consider him a friend. Folks that is why molestation continues because people stay friends with, enable those in their community and they do it in the name of Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin. Well where does the victim come in to all this. The children who were raped?

"KING 5 was contacted by a former parent at the school who noticed Allison was too close to the kids and told the school about it back in October.Pekar says the church addressed the issue with Allison at the time.
"Our school board chairman had talked with him, and he had been spoken to by our church authorities about 'over-familiarity,' mostly hugging at that point," she said.

The Church Did NOT address the ISSUE.
You don't take a potential child molester aside and say hey stop hugging the kids so much. So then the guy will stop letting other adults see his actions. The CHURCH should have and could have done more and ARE, in my opinion, LIABLE in every way.
WHAT IS "MOSTLY HUGGING"?
What else was Douglas Allison doing to those children he was to friendly too? Sure looks like MASSIVE neglect to me on the part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Clearly they knew this man was a threat in this way and they did nothing?
Were the parents notified of this complaint or this "Our school board chairman had talked with him, and he had been spoken to by our church authorities about 'over-familiarity,' mostly hugging at that point," ? I say you folks have SERIOUS Liability if you did not warn the children's parents so they could prudently protect their children, have that INFORMED choice.
WHY don't CHURCH Schools, Public Schools, and any so many other places, people, families NOT taking these warning signs serious? WHY WHY WHY ?
See Something. Say Something. DO SOMETHING.
You don't ask a criminal suspect, hey man did ya do it, nope sure didn't ok. Then you move on. The CHURCH should have investigated not just talked to the suspect.
They were praying for hours over all this according to the link below? WHY didn't the church get rid of him when they first knew he was too friendly?

This report on April 1st, 2016, Horrific Crimes Against Children, reports that Douglas Allison Admitted To Raping those children, yet in the article linked above, on April 3rd, you see Greg Reseck, HEAD ELDER, of Cedar Brook Adventist Church in Port Townsend proclaiming "You’re innocent until proven guilty," Greg Reseck said. "I’d like to hope he’s innocent. That’s all I can say." Douglas had already admitted to rape. If Greg Reseck is this out of touch I hope he is not around any children and he has NO BUSINESS being the Elder of any church.

Douglas Allison should have already been on Administrative Leave after the first accusations.
